    We are proudly cooperating with all CDC guidelines while teaching CPR, and BLS Skills to ensure you receive your certification in the safest way possible.


    Here are 6 ways we are making CPR and BLS Certification sessions safe, clean, sanitized and following proper procedures:

    • Everyone including staff must wear face covering at all times
    • Smaller class size (No more than 4 Per Session) plenty of room for social distancing.
    • Everyone has their own sterilized and disinfected manikin.
    • Attendees are required to wash hands before they enter our facility.
    • Hand Sanitizer and gloves are provided for all attendees
    • We show how to give breaths and chest rise with videos and the use of BVMs - Bag Valve Masks)

  • What is Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) for Healthcare Providers?

    The AHA’s ACLS course builds upon the foundation of lifesaving BLS skills, emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR. The course reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC). The objectives include:

    The American Heart Association (AHA) offers an ACLS Training course that teaches participants how to recognize and treat cardiac and respiratory arrest, peri-arrest conditions, and stroke. The course also teaches participants how to manage airway obstruction and perform basic life support skills such as chest compressions, use of a bag-mask device, and use of an AED. Participants learn how to recognize and respond correctly to cardiac arrhythmias with medications when appropriate. The course also addresses pharmacology; for example, the drugs used to treat hypertension are not effective for treating hypotension during cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

  • What is Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers?

    The AHA’s BLS Course provides the foundation for saving lives after cardiac arrest. Reflecting science and education in the 2020 AHA Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC, this course teaches basic life support skills for application in both in-facility and prehospital settings, with a focus on high-quality CPR, improvement of chest compression fraction, and high-performing team dynamics.

  • My School (Clinical Program) Requires an American Heart Association BLS (CPR & AED) Certification

    If you have not taken an American Heart Association Course in the past two years you have two options to satisfy your program requirement:


    Option 1 - Take our full course which last approximately 2.5 Hours. Everything is provided for you in our worry free classes.


    Option 2 - Schedule a 1 Hour BLS Skills Session with us Before you arrive for your skills session you must complete the Heartcode BLS Course online (Sold Separately)

  • My school/work only accepts American Heart Association. Is this the right class?

    Correct! We only offer American Heart Association Certifications. AHA certifications are more widely accepted by healthcare professionals as it is considered slightly more extensive as well as more challenging then the Red Cross.

  • What is a BLS Renewal Course?

    BLS Renewal is a credentialed course by the American Heart Association.

    In order to attend the BLS Renewal Course Students must have a current American Heart Association BLS Provider Card. pictured below. The date of class must not past the end of the month labeled on your current card. If your card has expired you must take a full BLS Provider Course with us.


    Providers who successfully complete this BLS course receive a new course completion card valid for two years.

  • What is a BLS Skills Session

    BLS Skills session is for those students who prefer to learn and take the BLS exam from the comfort of your home. 


    1. Students will purchase the online course at shopcpr.heart.org

     

    Once you complete the online course: Please e-mail the certificate of completion to training@willowgrovecpr.com


    2. Attend a 1 Hour Skills Session with our approved AHA instructor. Our Instructor will give you scenarios to demonstrate your comprehension of the AHA BLS guidelines on manikins.


    Providers who successfully complete this BLS session receive an official AHA course completion card valid for two years.

  • How to renew BLS Certification

  • Do I get certified by the American Heart Association?

    Yes, all courses taught are the American Heart Association curriculum, CPR certifications are good for 2 years and issued by the American Heart Association. Willow Grove CPR is an authorized training provider of CPR and ECC Courses of the American Heart Association Training Center and as such fall under their internal accreditation programs.


    All information can be verified by calling the American Heart Association National Center at 1-877-AHA-4CPR or 1-888-CPR-LINE


  • How can I verify if you are an Authorized Provider of CPR and ECC of the American Heart Association?

    To verify us with the American Heart Association you can call the AHA National Service Center at 1-877-AHA-4CPR or 1-888-CPR-LINE. Provide them with the AHA Class ID & the AHA Training Site ID (Listed on the Course Registration of each class date on our calendar) and they can verify the class as an approved AHA CPR Class. 

  • How soon will I get my CPR/BLS Cards?

    All our American Heart Association certifications are issued within 24 hours of course completion. Most students will receive eCards immediately at the completion of the class. 

  • Do you issue American Heart Association eCards for certifications?

    Yes, An eCard is the electronic equivalent of a printed course completion card. As of July 2018, the AHA if phasing out printed card to combat all the fake certifications. If the person/website you are taking the course with can not issue you a certification on heart.org they are fake. AHA eCards are valid course completion cards and can be presented to employers as proof of successful completion of an AHA course.

  • Does the AHA endorse 100% online classes?

    Currently the AHA does not endorse ANY completely online course, there is always an in person skills session in order to complete the online part

  • What Payments do you accept?

    All payments must be made prior to registering for an upcoming class. You may complete a payment online through this website or over the phone by calling 484-880-4762

  • If I take an Online course, how does that work?

    All Online courses MUST be taken via the American Heart Association Online Portal, (https://elearning.heart.org/). Once you take the online class, the AHA will present you with a certificate with a serial number/proof of completing the online course. Then you must meet with us to practice your skills in person on the manikins and equipment, followed by a skills test. Once you complete your skills test, then your official eCard will be issued by the American Heart Association

  • Why are other websites so cheap, what's the catch with those totally ALL online CPR/ACLS/PALS cards?

    Please be incredibly careful and look out for fake CPR/ACLS/PALS classes, especially the online versions that advertise for instant certification. The American Heart Association DOES NOT give instant cards online. Willow Grove CPR is an accredited American Heart Association training provider, but some places are not accredited or do not teach the American Heart Association courses. Our classes are required for Nurses, Doctors, Paramedics, Nursing Students, Lifeguards, EMT and meet specific guidelines are set by the AHA. Our prices are very competitive, and lower than most. If you find an AHA CPR/BLS course cheaper, we will honor their price.

  • Why don't you offer "instant" certification card online?

    Because the American Heart Association does not offer instant CPR cards or wallet cards online without a student physically completing a skills test with an approved instructor. The American Heart Association does not give instant certification cards. Websites will present misleading information that they, "teach to the standards of the American Heart Association", but do not issue you an American Heart Association Certification. Willow Grove CPR is an authorized provider for the American Heart Association
