Age Requirement for CPR Certification

At our location, you must be at least 12 years old to take the CPR certification course. Anyone between the ages of 12 and 16 must be accompanied by a paying parent or guardian in the same session.

Late Arrival Policy

Classes begin promptly at the scheduled time. We realize, however, that you may sometimes be unavoidably delayed. If you expect to be more than 15 minutes late for a session, please call in advance, so we can make arrangements to accommodate you. Instructors have the right to refuse entrance into class for students who arrive more than 15 minutes after class has begun without first making prior arrangements.

Inclement Weather Policy

Willow Grove CPR has an excellent record of maintaining our class schedules in order to meet our students' needs. If you feel that traveling to the class would be unsafe due to inclement weather, we will reschedule your course at no charge. Please see our rescheduling policy.

Name Verification

The American Heart Association requires your Instructor and/or Training Site Coordinator to confirm that you are who you say you are prior to issuing and validating your certification card. Accordingly, our staff may ask to see identification displaying your legal name before issuing and validating your certification card.

Written Exam Policy

The following Courses Require a Written Exam Prior to course completion:

BLS Provider (25 Questions - Multiple Choice)

ACLS Provider (50 Questions - Multiple Choice)

PALS Provider (50 Questions - Multiple Choice)

In keeping with the American Heart Association's open-resource policy, students may use resources as a reference while completing their exams. Resources could include the provider manual, either in printed form or as an eBook on personal devices, any notes the student took during the provider course, the 2020 Handbook of ECC for Healthcare Providers, the AHA Guidelines for CPR and ECC, posters, etc.

Non-Registered Guest Policy

In order to maintain a safe environment for our staff and students, only registered attendees will be allowed in the building during the session. If you need to bring someone with you for transportation reasons, we ask that they stay outdoors or in a vehicle. No person should visit or audit a classroom activity without registering for that specific session.

Interrupting the Flow of Class

Our CPR instructors are dedicated to providing a positive learning experience for every student. Disruptive students will be asked to leave and may reregister for the session at a later time. If you are asked to leave, please do so. The instructor's goal is to ensure a smooth learning experience for all attendees, so that they may receive their certifications in a timely and stress-free manner.

Technology Use During Class

Classes do not require the use of a laptop or tablet device; however, you may bring a laptop or tablet to class for your convenience. Our instructors will not be able to provide you with printing services during sessions. Willow Grove CPR is not responsible for any damaged or missing items left behind after class.
